Eyebrows:
I get so many compliments on my eyebrows so I figured I’d start with my favorite Sephora products that I use to get my natural-looking eyebrows. If you like a pomade to do your brow, then I highly recommend purchasing Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade. I LOVE this pomade so much. It works best with their eyebrow brush or an angled brush to make the natural strokes that look like eyebrow hairs. My shade is Dark Brown. The next item I would suggest buying during the spring sale is the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil. If you like using an eyebrow pencil, then this is the one to get! It’s honestly the only one that I buy from Sephora because it’s that good. My shade is 4.5.
Eyes:
Now onto my favorite eye products. My two favorite eyeshadow palettes are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow palette and the Huda Beauty The Nude Eyeshadow Palette. You all know I love a good everyday neutral tone eyeshadow look and you can definitely create that with these two palettes. (Click the links to purchase)
My all-time favorite eyeliner from Sephora is the KVD Tattoo Liner. This liner allows me to get the perfect wing EVERY TIME! I also love that it doesn’t smudge.
The last eye product you need to snag during the spring sale is Benefit Cosmetics BADgal BANG! Voluminizing mascara! I was recently gifted this item and have been using it every time I do my makeup! They also have a brand new mascara out, but I’ll be honest I haven’t used it yet.
Face:
Let’s start with primers. I have oily skin so trying to reduce the shine in my makeup is a must. Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer – Blurring does that for me! My second favorite is Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer. Initially, your face may have a white cast on it, but trust me it goes away once you apply your foundation. If you aren’t sure about it, then here is the mini to try out first! (Click the links to purchase or read more about the products)
If you are really not into foundations and want a product that is light, but still covers some imperfections the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint is what you need. My shade is 21. My favorite foundations from Sephora are both by NARS. If you’re on the oilier side I highly recommend their Soft Matte Foundation. If you aren’t oily then I would say you should try the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. I love both of these and the coverage they give, it’s very blendable with other brands, and it has such a natural finish.
My favorite concealers are Fenty Beauty Match Stix and NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer. I’ve been using both of these for YEARS and would highly recommend both of them. I mainly use NARS under my eyes and to carve out my eyebrows. The shade I use is Amande. Also, I use the Match Stix in Espresso for contouring.
So I’ve just gotten into wearing bronzers and a lot of beauty creators on Instagram recommended Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Matter Bronzer, so I decided to purchase it. Y’all this bronzer is fabulous. I use the shade deep and sometimes I just wear this without a contour because the color is so rich and beautiful by itself.
If you wear setting powders, then you definitely need to get the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder during the Sephora spring sale. Hands down, this is my favorite in the store. I usually get the setting powder in the shade medium deep.
Lips
Two of my favorite lip products from Sephora are lip glosses. The KVD Beauty OX Vinyl Lip Cream Lip Gloss is more like a creamy lipstick to me, but the name says lip gloss so… I guess. Haha. My favorite shade is Blossom. The Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs are my all-time favorite! They don’t have a sticky texture and they leave the perfect amount of shine and moisture on my lips.
Skincare Must Haves:
Okay, now it’s time to tell you some of my favorite skincare products that I love from Sephora.
First, I’m going to start with makeup removers. Taking your makeup off at night is crucial for your skin. I double cleanse and these two products are normally what I choose as my first cleanser. I recently bought Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm and it’s now my favorite cleansing balm. It literally melts all my makeup away with one wash. The second product I would recommend is Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover. I’ve been using the product for years and it never fails me. It’s great for getting off that stubborn eyeshadow or lashes. This is more of a liquid-based product. Both of these would be great products to snag at the spring sale!
If you’re tired of using makeup remover products, then The Original Makeup Eraser is perfect for you! It’s a towel that removes your makeup. All you have to do is wet it with water. Even though it does take off most of your makeup I would still recommend double-cleansing.
My favorite cleanser from Sephora is the Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel.
Next up, are my go-to exfoliants. Since last week, I have incorporated Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant into my daily skincare routine and I haven’t looked back since. It has made my skin so soft and smooth, I’m amazed. Before Paula’s Choice, my go-to exfoliant was Dermologica Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator. I didn’t use this every day, I used it at least 2x a week.
Okay, now let’s talk retinol. I started incorporating it into my skincare this year because I really wanted to start working on the texture and hyperpigmentation of my skin. The only retinol I use is from Sephora and it’s the Paula’s Choice CLINICAL 1% Retinol Treatment. It is an amazing retinol for my skin, which is very sensitive. It doesn’t leave my skin irritated at all. I started using it once a week and now I use it 2x. If you have extremely sensitive skin and don’t want to try retinol then this alternative worked amazing for my skin as well. It’s called the Herbivore Mini Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Smoothing Serum. I was trying out an alternative because I wanted to make sure I found something that would still work but was pregnancy safe (for whenever I do get pregnant again).
If you have oily skin like myself, then these two moisturizers are definitely must-haves to get during the VIB sale. Murad Clarifying Water Gel is such a great gel moisturizer. It is very light and feels like anything is barely there. I started using the iNNBEAUTY PROJECT Slushy Serum Moisturizer Crush Infused with Bakuchiol about 3 months ago and I AM IN LOVE!! If you feel like your skin needs some hydration and you want something that works on your texture and hyperpigmentation. You need this!! I will say that both are fabulous because they don’t leave me shiny at all, but leave my skin feeling very moisturized. (Which I need here in DRY Las Vegas!)
Now for my favorite sunscreens. I have tried many sunscreens. I mean ALOT. I’ve come to the conclusion that these are my favorite from Sephora so far. The first one is Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40. This sunscreen is clear and has a jelly-like consistency, which can get some getting used to. BUT this also guarantees that there is no white cast for my beautiful people with darker skin tones. The second one is Paula’s Choice RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50. This is actually a moisturizer AND a sunscreen, which I love. I also love that it has a fluid-like consistency and it’s SPF 50!
Last, but not least, the Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask is a MUST if you like your lips to feel soft like a baby’s butt. This product right here definitely surprised me because I had never heard of a lip mask before @tiffofalltrades told me about it. Now I use it every night…that I remember lol If you’ve never tried one before, get it during the spring sale! (Click the links or the pictures of the products to shop or read more.)
My Favorite Hair Products from Sephora:
Sephora Products I want to try:
Now that I’ve told you the products I’ve loved, I’m going to tell you the products I want to try for myself. I have heard great things about the new Topicals Faded Serum for Dark Spots & Discoloration. I have some dark spots that I want to get rid of so hopefully this helps! The second product I want to try is the Lancôme Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Ultra Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream. I want to try this because Mama is tired and it shows under my eyes. I really want to try and see if this reduces puffiness and dark circles.
Finally, I want to purchase some of the Briogeo hair products during the spring sale because I haven’t tried any hair products from Sephora. Plus, this brand is black-owned. I think I’m going try their Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Tea Tree Cooling Hydration Mask for Dry, Itchy Scalp because I’ve had dry scalp since pregnancy and I want to see if that helps.
If you’ve made it to the end, that you so much for reading this in its entirety. I know it was a lot, but I wanted to make sure that I gave you a thorough list of must-haves for you to get a great deal on them during the Sephora VIB Spring Sale. I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Let me know in the comments what you’re going to buy!
